On 8/10/2013 and 9/10/2013 our company has been the object of the fourth Environmental Management System recertification audit according to the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 (“POBJEDA” Tesanj is the FIRST company in B&H which managed to integrate Environmental Management System with the existing Quality Management System back in 2003).
The audit was carried out by:

TÜV SÜD Sava d.o.o. Ljubljana

The final audit resulted with the highest marks, and a recommendation for the renewal of the ISO 14001:2004 standard was given. This way “POBJEDA” Tesanj provided confirmation to all customers worldwide that it manufactures products using the highest technology, and at the same time complying with the strict requirements of this standard.

During the audit process, the auditor was convinced that this system is accepted by all employees at all levels, as well as in all processes. It is important to note that “POBJEDA” Tesanj, in addition to regular and planned investments in 2013, allocated over 320 000.00 BAM to the segment of nature protection, improving working conditions and ensuring the infrastructure, in order to reduce its emissions and improve working conditions. In addition to separator construction investment, the following was also accomplished: reconstruction of the installation network for use of ammonia in thermal processing; replacement of windows on the administration building in order to save heat and improve working conditions – noise reduction; replacement of forklifts; fleet vehicle renewal; restructuring of air compressor installations.

By the end of the year, company plans the construction of a new gas station in order to reduce gas consumption and ensure safer working conditions. Plans for investments in 2014 include replacing existing lighting – switching to LED lighting. Next steps in “POBJEDA” Tesanj are preparing Turbe Foundry for ISO 14001:2004 certification – Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 – Occupational Safety and Health Management System.
